Constructing D-Index of Drought Risk Based on the west of Liaoning Province
The paper constructed the drought index for the west and north of Liaoning province, China. Drought is one of the frequent natural calamities which lead an amount of loss. The paper gathered the data of 18 typical towns and made a regression whose result gave the related factors affect drought. Based on the 9 indicators, the paper use factor analysis and main principle analysis to construct D index and the index has the good ability depicting the drought risk. It can be used to claim and forecast drought risk. It also can be used in the other similar places.
