Design of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Servo Systems Based on Sliding-Mode Control

This paper proposes a particular method for position velocity loops to solve the velocity control problem associated with conventional sliding mode control of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) servo system. The merits of conventional sliding mode control approach and PID control technique were introduced to design this novel controller for the position and velocity loops. The sliding mode control scheme into the design of speed regulator of the control system was introduced. In order to track the stator current precisely, the current regulator was designed using space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM). The proposed method and the feasibility of control strategies were testified by simulation result.
