Research on pretreatment of high concentrated ammonia-nitrogen wastewater from coal gasification process by air stripping

1314.95 mg·L-1 high concentration ammonia-nitrogen wastewater from Tong Liao tong shun carbon factory of Ende coal gasification process was treated using home-made air stripping device. The influences of temperature, pH, aeration amount when the time was 30 mm were studied, the experimental results shows that the optimal conditions are: the temperature 25 ℃, pH 12, aeration amount 1.025 m3·h-1. In those conditions the ammonia-nitrogen removal rate of waste water can be 88.21％, the ammonia-nitrogen concentration was lower 155 mg·L-1 and could meet the need of following biochemical process.
