Structure and antibacterial activity of zinc and cerium carried sodium zirconium phosphate
Zinc and cerium carried zirconium phosphate was prepared by exchanging zinc and cerium ions into sodium zirconium phosphate through the ion-exchange method and characterized by energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy, also the antibacterial activity was tested. The result shows that the high content of zinc and cerium (Zn-Ce/ZrP) is obtained, and ZnCe/ZrP is hexagonal crystal system. Moreover, ZnCe/ZrP displays obvious synergetic antibacterial effect and has the potential to be used as antibacterial agent in environmental control.
