Whole Transfer Matrix and Transformation of Coordinates for Skew Gear Transmission Systems

Abstract - Whole transfer matrix method is a powerful tool for calculating the critical speeds of multirotor system. With vector algebra, by summing the inertia force and engagement loads, the whole transfer matrix of a skew gear pair was established in local coordinate system. And the transformation of the whole transfer matrix from local coordinate system to world coordinate system was studied. A numerical example illustrated the effect of different gear parameters on the critical speeds of the gear transmission system.
