Comments on Approaches to Knowledge Reduction of Covering Decision Systems Based on Information Theory

The paper Fei Li, Yunqiang Yin. Approaches to knowledge reduction of covering decision systems based on information theory. Information Sciences, 179(ll):1694-1704,2009 attempted to find a new way to perform attribute reduction in consistent and inconsistent covering decision systems. The present paper tries to discuss and comment on the paper. A counter example reveals the theory of attribute reduction in inconsistent covering decision systems is incorrect. Therefore, a novel theory with rough communication is proposed.
