The Discipline Evaluation Model
The level and status of discipline is an important indicator of colleges and universities, and the assessment of the level of discipline plays an important role in the development of the discipline. Thus, how to give a reasonable evaluation system or model of discipline has always been hot issues of discipline development research. As for this problem and requirements, this paper will establish the following two evaluation models and its improved model to discuss the issue of discipline evaluation. First, we establish the evaluation model based on Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The AHP used in the first model primarily depends on expertise to determine weights. With the increase of the data, it loses objectivity and adaptability. Therefore, we further improve the model, using the Hierarchyentropy Combine Assigning Method, which cannot only overcome the shortcomings of the subjective assignment method of AHP but also solve the defects of the objective assignment method of EVM. Second, we establish the evaluation model based on the relative effectiveness of input and output of DEA for scientific research or teaching-oriented colleges and universities, which can also apply to research and teaching-oriented disciplines.
