Design and realization of WAP gateway based on Linux
WAP gateway is the core of the mobile Internet system. It is responsible for conversion between the wireless network protocol and the WWW protocol. A scheme is given to deal with the realization of all WAP modules by means of the multi-threaded state machine based on Linux in the paper. The structure of WAP gateway which composes of WDP modules, WAP Stack modules, WAE module and management module is expatiated. With experiments it is verified that the WAP gateway designed provides the high efficiency, maintainability and scalability.
