Whole Transfer Matrix Method for the Critical Speeds of Coniflex Gear Transmission System

Because of the coupling complexity, it is difficult to calculate the vibration behavior induced by gear engagement of a power transmission system. Although whole transfer matrix method is a powerful tool for calculating the critical speeds of multi-rotor system, there is little research achievement on conniflex gear systems. Based gear dynamics, the relationship between internal forces and engagement force, and the relationship between engage force and deformations of a conniflex gear pair was deduced, and then its whole transfer matrix was established. A numerical example illustrated the effect of coniflex gear engagement on the critical speeds.
