Grayscale Modulation Based on HVS in LED Display Panel

For the purpose of improving the display result of the LED display panel, an algorithm of grayscale modulation based on HVS is proposed. First, the main parameters and the development trends of the LED display panel are introduced. Second, the process of grayscale modulation is described according to a series matrix operation. Third, this algorithm is tested and verified in a LED video control system, whose resolution is 1280×960. Experimental results show that this method is able to decrease the difference in brightness of the LED display panel. For the red sub-pixels, green sub-pixel and blue sub-pixel, the difference in brightness decrease from 29.2% to 1.16%, from 22.9% to 1.15% and from 35.7% to 0.532% separately.
