Research of Process Integration Methodology for Fourth Party Logistics

The present study puts forward a new process integration method for the Fourth Party Logistics (4PL-PLM), based on object-orient modeling method using unified modeling language (UML). The proposed method can be described as follows. First, the process model of 4PL was defined and the function of each process is introduced. Second, the process integration methodology of 4PL is given to solve the problem how to effectively identify the business object classes. Third, UML is used in the modeling of process integration for 4PL. In the end, we give the sequence diagrams of Partner Selection and Evaluation process reference model in the implementation layer. The proposed method laid the theoretical foundation and tangible measures for process integration of 4PL which achieve agile synergy from supplier with dynamic behaviors, organization autonomy and distribution.
