Research on Sensation Seeking between Internet Addiction Disorder and common students in college
Interact is extremely appealing to many prospective students and colleges are already seeing warning signs concerning the effects of prolonged Internet use, Internet dependents reported a decline in their academic work. They reported lowered levels of studying, a decrease in their grades, and missed classes due to so much time spending on Internet. This study investigates the psychological factors related to Internet Addiction Disorder(IAD) in Chinese college students and compare the differences on sensation seeking and biological traits and basis between IAD and common students. The results indicated that there is significant difference between males and females ( x2=6.48,P<.05 ) , but none among in grades. There are significant differences on Sensation Seeking total scores and Dis scores (P <.05) .N1 amplitude at Fz of IAD is more higher than of no IAD ( P <.05 ) . It was concluded that there is relationship between IAD and Sensation Seeking.We should pay more attention to Sensation Seekers mental life to avoid IAD.
