A Novel Approach for Denial-of-Service Attack Detection

摘要：

Large-scale denial of service (DoS) attacks remain a serious threat to the reliability of the Internet. Despite much improved software security, the number of attacks are still getting more. Therefore, this article presents a novel detection approach for denial of service attacks. The approach utilizes cluster analysis to detect DoS attacks. Experimental results indicate that our proposed approach improves the detection ratio and shortens the detection time for DoS attacks.
