Research on Deformation Measurement of Nuclear Fuel Assemblies with Laser Scanning and Its Improved Algorithm

According to the problem that conventional method of laser scanning which is used to test the deformation of fuel assemblies is imprecise and susceptible to interference, an improved method is put forward in this paper. The geometrical optics theory and average method are used in the improved algorithm to solve the original algorithms high demand of the lens and the rotating motor (a fθ lens and a high-speed synchronous motor are required in the traditional algorithm). Two traditional algorithms and the improved algorithm are simulated and compared. When the improved algorithm is adopted in the measuring system of fuel assemblies, the high precision measurement is completed by use of the ordinary lenses and highspeed rotating motors, and the system anti-interference ability is improved accordingly. The improved algorithm has a wide prospect of engineering application in the measuring system of fuel assemblies with laser scanning.
