Climate Environment Impact Assessment and CSR role in Chinas construction sector

This article analyses and discusses the actual and potential operation of China construction. Impact models identify and establish the causal relationships between policy objectives and policy outcomes. To study corporate social responsibility (CSR) of construction industry, its social images should be regarded first. We use literature collection methods to conclude that the construction industry in many parts of China has poor images that include numerous on-site accidents, jerry-built projects, delay in payment and environmental pollutions. Causes of those are explored first in term of shallow causes and then deep causes in order to find solutions. Schemes explicitly targeted either on particular parts of individual farms or specific areas tended to be based more on quantitative impact models compared to whole-farm schemes and broad, horizontal schemes. Some approaches to Environment Impact Assessment(EIA) procedures are outlined together with their role in integrated management of coastal regions. Structural approach to corporate social responsibility and routine CSR activities in construction corporations are presented in the end.
