Research on Dynamic Stress Using a New-type Dynamic Photoelastic System

The new-type dynamic photoeiastic system was composed of the improved traditional dynamic photoelastic test device, high-speed photography system and digital image processing system. The model was under the impact loads with dynamic photoelastic test method and the transmission of the stress wave was recorded by the new-type dynamic photoelastic system.The internal dynamic stress was analysed and its value was worked out with stress-optic law. The stress concentration factor was also analysed. The features of dynamic photoelastic test method was the fullcourt, continuity and visualization, and the whole process of the stress wave transmission can be seen clearly .The research can confirm the reliability of the system and provides industry standards for the model designing.
