Optimizing and testing Web applications via user sessions mining
As web applications become more popular and important in business and industry, they begin more needing to be effectively optimized and tested. User sessions reflect users dynamic behavior on website. They play a key role in optimizing web applications and testing the functionality of web applications. In this paper, TMUSA(Twice Mining User Sessions by the Apriori algorithm) is proposed to optimize and test the functionality of web applications. Firstly, the initial user sessions are mined to discover the users accessing patterns on website. The results are used for personalized recommendation by predicting user-browsing behavior. Secondly, the initial test cases based on user sessions with attributes are streamlined and the Apriori algorithm is used again to optimize the streamlined test cases, so the final test cases get much concise and scheduled with priority. Finally, the final test cases are used to test the functionality of web applications. The experiment results prove TMUSA has good efficiency.
