The Security Analysis of Cisco IOS

摘要：

The security of routers plays a very important role in the field of network security. This paper focuses on Cisco routers which are the broadest used, describes the basics of IOS which runs in Cisco routers, then based on these characteristics, gives an analysis of its vulnerability on external features and internal management mechanism. In addition, some security tests are provided to demonstrate that critical risks do exist in Cisco IOS. At last, some mitigation techniques are discussed to enhance the security of Cisco routers.
