Distribution-Free Multivariate CUSUM Procedure Applied to Exploring Trend of Dynamic Social Network

摘要：

Exploring the trend of dynamic social network is essential for the situation awareness of the corresponding social organization.Detection of shifts in the network is a vital factor of the research.Social network usually changes gradually and slightly,that is hard to be noticed.The statistic process control techniques in industry field have been used to distinguish the statistically significant change in fluctuations of social network.In this paper,a distribution-free multivariate CUSUM procedure is introduced to supervise the measures of social network as an improvement of the current method.The proposed approach has been experimented on Enron email dataset,and the result shows that the trend of social network is consistent with the reality when Enron crisis broke out.
