Study of Learner Autonomy in Web-based English Learning
With the integration of computer technology into language learning curriculums, Web-based autonomous English learning mode has been on its way to gaining popularity in China. This paper provides an overview of Web-based English learning by discussing its autonomous feature, its popularity in college English learning, the major problem arising in it, the elements involved in this learning environment, with the aim to find out the effective approaches to foster learner autonomy and further improve this elearning mode.
