Efficient Real-value Based Frequecny Offset Estimation for OFDM systems

This paper deals with the problem carrier frequency offset (CFO) estimation in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) systems. Based on constructing a complex centro-hermitian matrix, a matrix pencil method is firstly derived to estimate the CFO. Then, we transform the complex centrohermitian matrix to a real matrix by taking advantage of a unitary transformation. Since the dimension of the matrices is not increased, this completely realvalued algorithm achieves a substantial reduction of the computational complexity.)
