A Network Security Defense Mechanism Based on Ecological Evolution
By introducing basic principles of ecology to the network security defense mechanism, a novel defense mechanism was proposed based on ecological evolvement. This mechanism divided immune agents into different populations and implemented collaboration and evolution of ecologically operative mechanism among different populations of immune cell agents. Therefore it made management of network security self-organizing and the system composed of network and mobile agents work as an artificial ecosystem. Finally the ecological properties of this mechanism are analyzed. Compared to traditional defense mechanisms, it shows many properties in ecological organization evolving process such as selforganization, collaboration, evolution and so on. This mechanism aims to improve the defense systems self-healing, regenerative and immune ability.
