Portable Ultrasonic Testing System for Pressure Vessel Weld

摘要：

The portable in-service inspection are necessary for pressure vessel weld. The automatic ultrasonic testing device were equipped ultrasonic board named USB-UT350T based on on-board DSP. The ultrasonic board was connected to notebook computer. The random position were got through magnetic wheels which adsorp force and keep the stabilization. This paper introduces the TOFD ultrasonic imaging detection technology in pressure vessel inspection. The data processing methods of DAC was analyzed. The application of TOFD digital spectrum detection technology in pressure vessel weld was described. The system employed notebook computer to control signals collecting, data processing and displaying. So the whole system was light and portable. The result shows that the system can accurately test the defect of pressure vessel weld.
