Modeling and Simulation of a Manipulator Based on Matlab with SimMechanics
The Matlab SimMechanics is a toolbox developed in Matlab Simulation. It can be used for complex mechanics simulation. A method of modeling and simulation of a 4 DOF manipulator based on SimMechanics is proposed in this paper, including physical modeling, parameter setting and simulation. The rationality of the model is proved through the simulation. It is proved that the SimMechanics is simpler and accurater than traditional methods by the simulation diagram of the manipulators movement, and it provides a basis for further research.
