An Improved Cluster Head Election Technique for Coverage-preserving in Wireless Sensor Networks
Coverage-preserving should be considered when designing clustering methods. In this paper, we introduce some ideas about clustering process for energy-efficiency and dissipation balance. In details, we take into consider of the average scale of single cluster and how to avoid electing the same cluster heads between two sequential rounds. Compared with the other coverage-preserving cluster-based methods, our method increases lifetime based-on coverage under both full and partial coverage conditions.
