The Design of The Dial Scale on Air Display Interface
The dial scale is very important on the modem air display interface. A good design of the dial scale is great remarkable for the pilots to quickly recognize the information and make the right decisions. The experiment is based on principles of man-machine ergonomics and uses orthogonal experimental design and multiple linear regression analysis, carry out the study of the design of the dial scale through 150 tests .The results show that the minimum unit of lines spacing on the dial scale is remarkable to accurate interpretation. The length of long scale lines, the length of short scale lines, the width of long scale lines, the width of the short scale lines, and the length of the pointer are not remarkable for accurate interpretation.
