A New Timing and Frequency Offset Estimation Method Based on Cyclic Prefix for OFDM Systems Using Mutual Information
This paper addresses the problem of synchronization in orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. We present a novel joint estimation of symbol-time and carrier frequency offset using mutual information (MI). The method exploits the properties of the cyclic prefix (CP) subset to reveal the synchronization parameters in the mutual information function of the received signals
