Research of Spectrum Sensing Strategy and Adaptive Algorithms Based on Frequency Hopping Communication System

For improving the anti-jamming performance of frequency hopping communication system, we integrate Cognitive Radio module into the terminal. And spectrum sensing is one of the most challenging issues in cognitive radio systems. Firstly, the paper sets up a basic TDMA model embedded spectrum sensing module for frequency hopping communication system. Secondly, we analyze and discuss the optimum mode for spectrum sensing. Then, in this paper, some spectrum sensing strategies are presented, including synchronous tracking spectrum sensing and full-band sweeping spectrum sensing. Whats more, external spectrum sensing algorithms and other alternative sensing methods are analyzed and compared. Finally, an adaptive spectrum sensing algorithm based on energy detector is given.
