Blind SNR estimation based on the accelerated EM algorithm

摘要：

Blind signal to noise ratio (SNR) estimation is addressed using EM algorithm in this paper.However,the EM algorithm is often criticized for its slow convergence.We proposed an accelerated EM algorithm based SNR estimator which uses the eaccelerated EM algorithm and better initialization.Simulation results show that the new estimators performance is very close to the Root Normalized Cramer-Rao Lower Bound (RNCRLB).The new estimator takes less than 50％ time to converge than normal EM based SNR estimator and this is very important for adaptive satellite communication.
