Thoughts on Application of Multimedia in Education

摘要：

Introduction of information technology in teaching and learning becomes more and more popular and is one of the major concerns of education reforms nowadays.This paper focuses on the application of multimedia in education,analyzes the definition of multimedia and the benefits it brings in learning and instruction,examines the paradigm shift in teaching and learning owing to application of multimedia,addresses the multimedia tools and online technologies,then examines the specific designing using multimedia.At last authors note that multimedia by itself does not assure a good learning environment,it should be designed and monitored properly.
