Firms Technology Change,Innovation and Wage Differential:Evidence from SMEs in Zhejiang Province
This study points out that workers in labor market differ in their ability to learn and implement new technology,and innovations require firms to teach workers the new skills when introduced by the new technology.As firm training cost depends on the expected ability of their workers,they seek to hire workers who are able to learn at least cost.The empirical results found strong evidence that the more technology advanced and the higher cost to pay for worker to learn,.
