Study on Pressure-relief Law of Protective Seam Mining for Coal Seams with High Gas
Pressure-relief process of overlying strata caused by protective seam mining was simulated by using FLAC3D numerical method. The results indicate that, along the advance direction of the protective seam working face, the stress contour is arch shape, and the top of arch forms a horizontal line gradually with the advancing of the protective face, while saddle shape along the working face tendency. And our analysis reveals that there is O-shape pressurerelief fracture circle in the protected seam, which provides theoretical basis for the selection of gas drainage position. The results of pressure-relief law are of great significance to gas drainage engineering practice.
