Theoretical Analysis on Gas Emission from Thrown Coal during Coal and Gas Outburst

In order to calculate the gas emission quantity after coal and gas outburst, a theoretical analysis on dynamic gas emission from the thrown coal was performed. Based on the law of gas emission rate from coal grain and the supposition that breaking wave velocity is constant, the relationship between gas emission rate from the thrown coal and time was derived. The results show that gas emission rate from the thrown coal rapidly increases at the initial stage of outburst, and then gradually reduces with the time increasing. The maximum value of gas emission rate increases with the initial gas desorption rate increasing.
