Inducing Action of Stress Wave for Coal and Gas Outbursts

There are many influence factors for coal and gas outburst, in which the stress wave is the most important one of the non-geological factors. Using the implicit-explicit analytical function of ANSYS/LS-DYNA, the response of roadway surrounding rock under the stress wave is simulated and the inducing effect of stress wave is studied. It is found that, under stress wave, tensile stress and compressive stress occurs in roadway surrounding rock. The vertical pressure of left side midpoint and horizontal pressure of right side midpoint act mainly as tensile pressure, and the pressure value increases along with the stress wave intensity. The horizontal displacement time curve of roof and floor and left side midpoint can be described as this: the value decreases deeply from plus peak to minus peak during 0ms -10ms, and the evolution of right side midpoint is reverse to that of left side midpoint. The horizontal velocity time curve of roof and floor midpoint is that the value decreases deeply from peak to trough, then increasing slowly and keep flat. The horizontal velocity time curve of left side midpoint is similar to cosine curve and of right side midpoint is similar to sinusoid curve.
