Study on Multidirectional Advanced Detection Technology by Mine TEM and Its Applications

The quantity of the acquired data and the interpretative accuracy of the advanced detection are tremendously improved by replacing the conventional mine TEM advanced detection method with multidirectional advanced detection technology. During the process of data acquisition, based on the trumpet-like forward propagating theory of electromagnetic wave and using the coaxial device for measurement, multi-angle and multidirectional measurement can be achieved through adjusting the normal angle of loops, thus the water-bearing property of rock strata in roof, horizontal front and floor ahead of the roadway can be detected inadvance. The research results indicate that the multidirectional advanced detection technology of mine TEM can improve the interpretative accuracy of the advanced detection in roadway, and the location and shape of anomalous body in front of the head can be more obviously reflected. This technology has achieved good results in practical applications.
