Study on Simulation and Monitoring of Overburden Failure Height of Multi-full-mechanized Caving Mining

with Binxian xiagou mine as the experiment mining, by using borehole flushing fluid leakage and drilling color television system, combined with analog simulation and numerical simulation, overburden failure height of the multi-caving mining is studied. The study results show that the full-mechanized caving mining overburden failure height is between 97.47m-149.48m, and split-production ratio is 11.2016.79. Water conducted zone height of the single face is varied slightly, because it does not meet the full development; but through a large area mining, water conducted zone height will increase obviously, and come up to a state of supercritical mining, and the general shape is such as saddle which is shown high in both sides and intermediate low. A certain width coal pillar which plays a role of control for overburden failure is retained between the faces, but it is ensures the stability of coal pillar.
