Study on Numerical Simulation of Stability of Strip Pillar Influenced by Reserved Size

In order to confirm the influence of pillar stability and surface from reserved size of strip pillar, three-dimensional simulation was used to study the breadth of plastic area of pillar and surface subsidence value based on the inclined strip pillar of certain mine. The results show that it is a gradual failure process for strip pillar from mining formation to yield, and the pillars from different places in the same district stress differently, so do different parts of the same strip pillar; the greater pillar width, the higher stability. With the same extraction ratio, the value of surface subsidence obviously increases along with increase of mining width and reserved breadth.
