Research of full Digital Vector Control System of Induction Motor Based on DSP

The FOC (field - oriented vector control) and the DTC (direct torque control) are the high performance control strategies, which is comparable to the DC motor control strategies. Vector Control System is one of the advanced theories. In order to effectively resolve the realtime problems caused by a large number of calculations during carrying out the vector control of electrical motors, this paper analyzes the vector control theory of induction motors based on the magnetic orientation of motor rotors. It makes use of a revolving reference frame aligned with the stator current vector, so that stator resistance can be straightforwardly derived from the mathematical model of the induction motor. Then the variable frequency vector speed-adjusting experimental system is built with the DSP TMS320F2812 which works as the core control chip and intelligent power module. The Experimental results show that the system designed can run stably, be controlled reliably, and does fit the desired requirements.
