Research on MANET Multi-hop Hybrid Routing Protocol

摘要：

This paper studies on routing protocol for wireless mobile ad hoc network (MANET). Since tremendous amount of attention have been paid to routing in MANETs, it led to development of many different routing protocols. Authors often propose distinct strategies and provide some improvement by considering of the literature for a given network scenario. This led to that a routing protocol is only applicable to some kind of network with certain characteristics. And these protocols are classified into three groups: proactive, reactive and hybrid. In MANET routing protocols, hybrid routing protocol combines advantages of both proactive and reactive routing protocols, so it is suitable for lager scale of network scenarios. Due to our study on hybrid routing protocols, weve achieved a multi-hop hybrid routing protocol based on zone mechanism. In the protocol we develop link layer piggyback forwarding technique to improve its routing performance.
