Mixed H2/H∞ Linear Parameter Varying State Feedback Control for Bank-to-Turn Missile Autopilot Design
This paper presents a mixed H2/H∞ linear parameter varying state feedback control approach for a bankto-turn missile autopilot design. A mixed H2/H∞ linear parameter varying state feedback control is proposed firstly. In a polytopic domain, linear matrix inequality conditions that depend only on the vertices of polytope are presented to make sure that the prescribed H2 attenuation level, H∞ attenuation level and the stability of the closed-loop system are guaranteed. Then the pole placement method is combined into the proposed controller design to meet some time response characteristics of the closed-loop system. Therefore, the solution of the gain scheduled controller is obtained. There are no structural constraints on the plant and the presented approach can obtain less conservative results than some previous results. Furthermore, the approach is applied to a bank-to-turn missile pitch-axis autopilot design over full flight envelope, the capability and effectiveness of the proposed approach is demonstrated by the results.
