Modal Analysis of Leaf Spring with Gradually Hanging Stiffness
In order to analyze accurately leaf spring modal and to avoid of taking place resonance, in paper, we established the leaf spring three-dimensional model with CATIA software, then imported it into the ANSYS to carry through preprocessor that was defining loads and imposing constraints and meshing model. So we obtained the modal results of the self-vibration frequency and vibration figures. By deeply analyzing the stiffness on the leaf spring, the results strongly suggest that the positions of the smaller stiffness, for the deputy spring, are at the edge on both sides of the first piece, but for the main spring, are in the middle of each piece on both sides. We should strengthen the stiffness at above special regions in the vehicle design.
