Structural Design Method on Elastic-plastic of Oil Perforating Guns
A structural design method on elastic-plastic strength analysis of perforating guns of oil and gas wells was developed in this paper. The current engineering Finite Element Method (FEM) software was used for the analysis. Gun 102 (with 102mm OD), made of alloy steel 30CrMo double-treated with 8mm wall thickness was chosen to analyze actually with this method. Considerable plastic deformation accumulates during normal working load. And the plastic deformation still continues till the load drops to some level lower than the maximum after the maximum load, which is shown by the plastic deformation history diagram. It is feasible to design the thickness of the wall of the perforating gun based on this structural design method by elastic-plastic analysis. As a result, reducing accidents of seizingup-gun can come true.
