Study About the Methods of Electrodes Motion Control in the EAF Based on Intelligent Control

Arc furnace is highly nonlinear and nonperiodic systems,its model has a strong uncertainly, these features make the arc furnace electrode control more difficult and complex.The traditional PID controller is too dependent on precision of the mathematical model of controlled object,when it was applied to arc furnace electrode control,the result is not satisfactory.To solve this problem, this paper put forward a complex intelligent control scheme based on optimal control,fuzzy control and PID controL The simulation results show that the scheme can meet the EAF electrode regulation requirements.Three-phase electrode works smoothly in balance area and reduce energy consumption and electrode loss effectively.
