Corporate Social Responsibility And Corporate Performance In The Perspective Of Marketization
This study chose some low marketization and some high marketization provinces as samples for the research. This study use regression analysis to examine the relevance between corporate social responsibility and firm performance. The result shows that, in the low marketization areas, corporate social responsibility for the nation in the listed companies of our China is positively related to corporate performance of these companies, while social responsibility for the investor is not significantly positively related to corporate performance, and social responsibility for employee and public welfare is negatively related to performance, but not significantly. In the areas with high marketization, listed companies social responsibility for the nation is positively related to performance, while responsibility for investors is not only negatively but also insignificantly related to corporate performance, and social responsibility for the public is insignificantly positively related to firm performance.
