A Study Of Knowledge City And The Management Of Urban Knowledge Capital
Knowledge City is the new theory or genres, which came into being in the nineties of the last century, when the western cities experiencing the urban transformation and urban regeneration, whose purpose is to accelerate the urban social, economic and spatial restructuring by making full of the urban social, economic, cultural resources, and by the implementation of a knowledge-based development strategy, to promote sustainable development, improve the core competitiveness in the citys participation in the global cycles. The experiences of the world knowledge cities have shown that successful knowledge cities must depend on the optimization and maximization of knowledge capital. In recent years, this theory has begun to attract academic attention, Cities of Shanghai, Shenzhen, Dalian, Changchun have clearly proposed to transform the original city into a knowledge city. The paper, based on the analysis of the background of its birth, the content, the morphology of intellectual capital and the interior relationship between knowledge city and the intellectual capital, puts forward some related points of how to manage the urban knowledge capital effectively.
