The Numerical Simulation and Experiment Analysis in Drilling of ZGMnl3 Steel
The method to set up model and relevant theories has been studied in simulation course of the ZGMn13 steel drilling process. Utilize plastic forming finite element software, material model of ZGMn13 steel and geometric model have been built. The continuous chip and the drilling thrust and temperature have been numerical simulated. Simulation result shows that the increase of feed or decrease of cutting speeds result in the increasing of drilling thrust and temperature. The maximum temperature district of the cutter is close to cutting edge sharp more when the ZGMn13 steel is drilling, while the maximum temperature district of 45 steel is farther. It makes the cutter easier to wear and tear. Meanwhile, the experiment research on the ZGMn13 steel drilling has been also carried on. Simulation and experimental result are relatively consistent, shapes of chip that the simulation and experiment obtains are extremely similar, thus the exactness of simulation models set up has verified.
