Passenger Flow Simulation Method for Long-distance Bus Station
Passenger flow simulation is an effective method which is real-time and dynamic. It can be used as measurements to optimize long-distance bus station. In this paper, self-developed simulation software is used to simulating a long-distance bus station. The simulation data is analyzed from three respects: passenger volume in the station, the regional density, regional service level. The results of analysis shows that the bus station needs further optimization of the usage on both functional regions and passenger streamlines to enhance the efficiency of the station. It is concluded that the passenger flow simulation method has a good applicability in optimizing the long-distance bus station system.
