Fe-Analysis and Improvement for a light cross-country Vehicular Suspension lower Arm with Torsion spring

Fe-analysis was made for a cross-country vehicular front suspension lower arm. Four types of Fe-analysis models, including model with rigid support,model with elastic support ,model with lower plate wrapped sharply and model with lower plate wrapped smoothly. Results show that the support function of the torsion spring should be taken into consideration to make the load conditions right,the strengthen plate on the wrapped place decreased stress obviously and the strength of the structrue was improved and increase the diameter of the fillet wrapped place will decrease the stress concentration.
