Numerical Calculation of the Post-buckling Configuration of a FGM Beam under Axially Distributed Follow Load
Based on geometrically non-linear theory for extensible elastic beams, the governing nonlinear governing equations of functionally graded material beam subjected to a uniformly distributed tangential follower force along the central axis are established. By using shooting method, the postbucking behaviors of FGM beam made of metal and ceramic are analyzed. By using shooting method and analytical continuation, the nonlinear boundary-value problem is solved numerically. The post-bucking configuration and equilibrium paths of the column are obtained
