Dynamics Simulation of High Speed Electric Multiple Units with Semi-active Suspension
Effects of semi-active suspension on the key dynamics performance of high speed EMU (Electric Multiple Units) is analyzed, when running speed above 250 km/h, by using ADAMS (Automatic Dynamic Analysis of Mechanical Systems) in the paper. After building an 8 cars high-speed EMU model, the model with semi-active suspension is simulated at speed of 250km/h、300km/h and 350km/h, respectively, on German high speed high disturbance track through co-simulation with Simulink. The simulation result shows that, with the increasing of running speed, semi-active suspension can improve vehicle ride index largely and effective reduction lateral vibration of vehicle indeed when the train operation safety is guaranteed. However, the effect of semi-active suspension on the maximum derailment coefficient, the maximum lateral and vertical wheel-rail force becomes worse gradually.
